Paul Wyler was born on 15th June 1896 and established the Wyler Watch company in Basel on 28th March 1924. Throughout its history, the Wyler watch company has upheld a commitment to producing innovative, yet reliable and sturdy timepieces in continuation of its founder’s original mission. Avoiding staid watchmaking clichés, Wyler Genève prefers to be judged on its products and its actions. With a daring approach to watchmaking, for example in pioneering anti-shock technologies and then jettisoning them from height of 300 feet to prove its effectiveness.
As classic and contemporary watches go hand-in-hand with the mechanics of classic and performance cars, Wyler Genève unashamedly alludes to this theme both in the design of its timepieces and its partnerships. Its unique shock-absorbing case recalls the suspension of a car, whilst more subtle details on the watch also have a distinct car-inspired theme. The brand's automotive associations include the Paris-Beijing anniversary as well as the most recent activities - Dakar rally.
Wyler Genève has asserted its environmental awareness by becoming the first CarbonNeutral watch company and aims to maintain a consistent approach to environmental protection in all its activities as well as to instill a similar mindset among its suppliers and partners. |
