Sharon Lim is the only daughter of Cortina Watch’s founder, Anthony Lim. She has a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and graduated from the Indiana’s Bloomington University.

Shortly after graduation, Sharon worked as a fashion retailer in San Francisco for a year. She returned to Singapore and joined United Parcel Service in Sales and Marketing for 2 years and was finally convinced that she should join the family business.

Sharon joined Cortina Watch in 1992 and assumed the role of Marketing Manager. Back then, she was strategizing the company, in terms of strengthening its brand positioning as a luxury watch retailer in the local market, with its aggressive advertising and retail events. She had created the iconic Jewellery Time concept. At the same time, Cortina Watch was also expanding rapidly into regional countries like Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Having worked in a multinational company, Sharon also saw the need to introduce organizational and structural changes to Cortina to meet the demanding and fast moving business world. Sharon initiated the re-engineering of the various different supporting departments and defined functional division such as information technology, financial management, human resource and training to strengthen the company’s image.

In 2001, Sharon spearheaded the task of revamping the company corporate identity which was in place since the company was founded 30 years ago. She also developed a new communication policy to strengthen the company’s image.

Sharon was appointed Executive Director of Pacific Time Pte Ltd and Chronoswiss Asia Pte Ltd (a subsidiary of Cortina group of companies) in 2003 and is responsible for the overall business development, distribution operations that encompasses building of new brand product for the South East Asia market. Today, Pacific Time is the agent and distributor for brands - Chronoswiss Asia, Concord, Wyler, Milus, Salvatore Ferragamo, Locman and Underwood.
